25th August 2013
Windsurfing: Newgale
Wind Direction: N (Cross-off)
Wind Stength: F 5-6
Surf / Sea State: Up to shoulder high
Air Temperature: 21
Sea Temperature: Warm
Weather: Sunny all day
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Arrived an hour after high tide (5.6m on MSW) and the water was just off the pebbles. Cross-off, but the first guy out was stacked on 5.3 and clearly the wind shadow behind the pebble bank was not a problem. Rigged 4.7 which was spot on with 84 litre quad all day. A bit of tuning was needed as the wind strength changed and there were some holes, but I was planing flat out most of the time. Nice clean waves - up to shoulder high. Caught loads, concentrating on getting speed dtl and making a few turns. My last wave was the biggest and I was almost too tired to turn - caught the clew on the last top turn and it took me down - time to call it a day - stoked.

Loads of windsurfers out as the Tenby Demo crew came over. Plenty of space on the water for everyone. Nick Baker and other pros were out really ripping it up.

A fantastic day and great to see so many windsurfers out.
